Clarke BakeR

Co-owner and founder of Shine, Clarke was born in Naples Florida, but grew up primarily in Wilmington North Carolina. Moving to Cary in 2018 she immediately fell in love with its small-town charm. Her passion for helping families especially postpartum mamas stems from working at a local prenatal chiropractic office here in Cary, NC. Over the years Clarke learned about birth, specifically the lack of postpartum support and wanted to figure out what she can do to help change that...and so Shine was born! When she is not at work you can find Clarke listening to a good true crime podcast, reading a good book or enjoying time with friends and family. Clarke is the proud fur mama to her 12-year-old pup and longtime companion, Indi, and three rambunctious cats' names Shandy, Olive and Isla, whom she shares with Ethan.

Ethan Bevelacqua

Co-owner of Shine, Ethan was born and raised in Apex NC. He loves this area because of the endless nature trails, lakes, and new areas he has yet to discover. When he has free time you will most likely find Ethan outside playing disc golf, cuddling with a cat, or finding a new recipe to whip up in the kitchen. Ethan is an avid sports fan; A true Carolinian at heart, his favorite teams are UNC and the Carolina Panthers. He knew his calling in life was to help people which brought him to finding Shine with Clarke. He thrives in knowing he could make a difference in women's lives during this difficult transition of their 4th trimester.
